Ranting and Raving Comedy Pilot

Dear Friends and Family,
I have embarked on the project of a lifetime. After 20+ years of making films for other people, I am finally making one for myself.
I wrote a pilot for a comedy series called Ranting and Raving, a hilarious sitcom in the genre of Larry David type humor, with touches of Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, and the Honeymooners. Please see synopsis below.
The goal of Ranting and Raving is to be shopped to the likes of Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Showtime, HBO, etc. as a comedy series. Everyone is looking for content and along with this funny script, I have the talent, skills and connections to make a high-quality, marketable show.
After more than a year of pre-production, I have a cast and crew and we are set to shoot in mid-October. To date, we have raised $14,500 from private financing but we need more and I can use your help.
This is an opportunity for you to be part of a fun project and to see your name on the big screen. As you will see, I'm offering up fun little incentives for your support but any amount helps. Ranting & Raving Synopsis
Cliff Matthews, an aspiring novelist and unfulfilled “How-to” writer is feeling the pressure of his wife Nora’s desire to have a child. Until now, he’s been able to skirt the issue but the pressure is on and he is running out of time and excuses.
One day, our lead couple receives a visit from their friends, the Hendersons. Cliff hates the Hendersons for a multitude of cited reasons, one being their six-year old son, Timmy. Timmy, a seemingly sweet child, sets the tone early as Cliff’s antagonist by sucker punching him in the testicles.
After a weekend of comical mishaps rendering Timmy bandaged and bruised and Cliff the object of a child abuse investigation, the Hendersons take off, leaving their child behind with his new parents, Cliff and Nora Matthews.
