Rangila Khelaiyas Team Fundraiser

Our goal is to compete in the Gujarati Cultural Festival held in Vancouver Canada. We are a team of 24 individuals (mostly university students) all volunteering our time to represent our city against Calgary, Edmonton, Los Angeles, and Seattle. If sufficient funds are not raised, these members will need to pay out of pocket to make up the difference of the total pot needed.
We are coordinating car washes, club nights, and volunteering our time at multiple "mass fundraising" events that are organized by the competition committee in order to secure a cut of the total money raised at those events. The money raised will go towards costumes (which need to be made and shipped from India), rehearsal space rentals, props, and many other dance related expenses. The funds need to be raised by the end of June. The reason for this, is currently we are asking team members to "loan" the money to us so we can start the appropriate processes for costumes and rent our spaces. If we wait too long to raise the money, the likelihood of paying them back decreases day by day which also plays a part in the teams motivation.
As one of the 3 choreographers volunteering countless hours to this team, I would be elated to inform them that the kind hearted members of GoFundMe have come together to help us with our goal. The money generated here will save us a number of sleepless nights along with motivate the team to further represent their city and win!
