Ranger Danger's Amputation

Donation protected
Most of you have met Ranger Danger at some point in the last decade. He has been with me through every last bad, and good thing thats happened (a lot of you know, its a lot more bad than good). This morning, two days before Christmas, my neighbor knocks on my door and because of the language barrier, walks me over to where my cat is. He is lay in a bush, and at first he seemed out. But then he wouldnt stand up. After freaking out for 20 minutes I was able to get him in a carrier and to a nearby hospital that was open. After a quick exam and some xrays, the vet told me his femur was broken, pretty much beyond repair. There was maybe some surgeries and plates and pins and a lot of trauma that could save his leg, or amputation was the other option. As devastating as that sounds, the vet tells me it is a much easier healing process and that Ranger could live another 10 years, and there are plenty of tripod kitties in the world.  The devastating part of it all is the vet thinks someone did this to him. She said he would have more injuries if it was a vehicle hitting him. It looks like someone kicked him or hit him hard enough to do this. I cant even begin to fathom someone doing that, let alone to my sweet baby angel. I know its a lot to ask before Christmas, but boy do I need a Christmas miracle right now.
