Raneeka Gill Memorial Scholarship

Raneeka Gill, born July 08, 1991, passed away April 23, 2019, just shy of her 28th birthday. She was a beautiful soul, a beloved daughter, sister, and granddaughter, and caring educator.
She made the world a better place for all of those who knew her: We are honouring her memory by building a scholarship fund, so Raneeka can continue teaching and inspiring the students she loved.

Raneeka, a teacher with School District 36, was passionate about family, travelling, and education. Any one who needed a person to talk to, to lean on, or to just be there, could rely on Raneeka. Whether you were 6 or 86, she would spend hours helping you, teaching you, caring for you, until you were well and good.

She spent many happy hours thinking of new ways to better approach and educate her students, buying books and supplies that would make her classroom a welcoming second home, and collaborating with her colleagues to continue building professional development and community.

It is because of all these wonderful qualities Raneeka exhibited, easily and fully, we are looking to keep her memory alive through a scholarship in her name.  We are asking all those who can, to help continue Raneeka's legacy of teaching everyone she could with an open heart and wide smile. 

The Raneeka Gill Memorial Scholarship will go towards a deserving student interested in pursuing Education, and who has overcome adversity to do so.
