Randy Durham Memorial Fund


Randy and Cheryl and I worked at the same company in southern Oregon together. He said his heart always skipped a beat when he’d see her but she was married and so was he, so he kept his secret to himself...  

A few years later, when she was free and so was he, she finally asked him out.  One date quickly led to another and another - it was wonderful to see my BFF of 25 years with a smile on her face that no one could erase and my old boss was the reason!

One simply can’t describe love and happiness of that kind. They were married on May 10, 2015; raised her daughter together, loved and lived in a way that only the Bible describes accurately. 

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous. It does not brag, does not get puffed up, 5 does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. 6 It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

This morning, September 27, 2018, Randy passed away unexpectedly after swift and severe complications of pneumonia. 

Only the love remains...

I wish I had a dollar for every time his laugh made me smile. I wish I had a dollar for every kiss they stole and every time they looked at each other “like that”. 

Gods word tells us in Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do good, seek justice, Correct the oppressor, Defend the rights of the fatherless child, And plead the cause of the widow. 

And so, I come before you to plead her cause. Please help her keep their home and pay off debts.
