Hello Dear Friends,
I trust that all is well with you, since it's been quite some time since we've last connected. We are taking this this opportunity to let you know about some of the great things that God is doing in our lives.
My wife and I attend and serve at Celebration Church in Fresno California. I have been an usher for the past four years, and have been volunteering in the Media and Production Team for the past four months. My wife is a G42 School of Ministry student at Celebration Church. In fact, we're looking forward to an awesome opportunity to go on a mission trip to the Philippines with a group of 40 students, volunteers and pastors from our church. Celebration Church has over twenty churches in the Philippines and is continuing to expand. My wife and I have witnessed and experienced first hand the faithfulness of God working within the ministry and in our own lives. We are thrilled that God is expanding our territory, and consider it an honor and privilege to fulfill the work of the ministry. My wife and I draw nearer to God through our experiences within our church, and now we are ready to see how God is working in a completely different part of our world.
This coming summer, July 13th "“ July 23rd our group from church will be heading to Cagayan de Oro, Philippines where we will connect with our sister church Celebration Church International. The city of Cagayan de Oro is located along the central coast of northern Mindanao in the southern part of the Philippine Islands. Due to last year's typhoon "Haiyan", we will be aiding in reconstructing and expanding the homes for the families who were affected by the storm. There are hundreds, of four to eight member families, that are sharing 14ft. x 16ft. living spaces. We will increase their living space by building lofts for a new sleeping area, by helping to create a more quality life. In exchange for the expansion and rebuilding of their homes, every family has agreed to receive the word of our Lord Jesus Christ through weekly Bible studies. In addition to the rebuilding of their homes, our group will be conducting outreaches and services at the local schools and churches, where we will reach thousands of people, of all ages.
This trip provides an opportunity to meet the physical and spiritual needs of a community that is so desperately in need. More than anything, I value your prayers for our team and those whose lives will be touched by God through us. I believe that God answers prayers, and I'm asking you to pray for safety, good health, smooth travel, and financial support. Your loving prayers will help to give my wife and I peace in our journey.
Beyond your prayers, if you are led to join us by financially supporting this mission, we would be truly grateful. My wife and I need $4,000 ($2,000 each) the total cost of the trip. We will have to be creative to raise the money, and I want to extend an invitation to you to participate by making any donation to help us reach our goal.
