Randi's Breast Cancer Battle

This is the hardest note I have ever written: Imagine being diagnosed with advanced breast cancer - now imagine being diagnosed with not one, but two types of breast cancer -- at age 31. My daughter Randi, who is also a sister, wife, and friend, was recently diagnosed with IDC (invasive ductal carcinoma) and a rare form known as IBC (inflammatory breast cancer). The cancer has spread to her lymph nodes. Her cancer is aggressive and will require aggressive treatment.  Randi has excellent doctors who are and will be caring for her during this difficult process. Treatment will include multiple chemotherapy treatments, a radical mastectomy (possibly double), radiation, and a lot of medication. This will all take at least 2 years. Then, she will begin the rest of her life fight. For those who know Randi, she is a very giving and kind soul. She is a physical therapy assistant who helps patients of all ages to improve their quality of life on a daily basis. She does so with love and compassion. Randi will have to miss a lot of work through her treatment process, which will exceed her paid leave benefits.  The cost of the treatment for both IDC and IBC is unimaginable. The financial strain on Randi and her husband Kraig will be immense. Please help Randi - so she can receive the treatment she needs and deserves versus what is affordable.   No donation is too small.  We appreciate each and every one, even if it is only keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.
