Help My Daddy Beat Cancer

My dad is a superhero. I know most kids think that about their fathers, but for me it is actually true. He is the strongest man I know. He and my mom moved us to a whole new country for a chance at a better life. He was held up at gunpoint, almost shot and killed by a robber, who let him go due to his humanity and generosity. He survived a life threatening infection. And for the past year, he has been fighting stage 4 kidney cancer. For my whole life, there has never been anything that my dad could not fix. He will get through this, too.

My dad is currently undergoing cancer treatment and we are so fortunate that his cancer has not spread or grown one bit. He also suffers from a back injury that, along with his illness, leaves him unable to work. My mom has been working so hard to make sure he is able to get the treatment he needs to save his life. Unfortunately, my dad has now lost his health insurance, leaving my parents with no affordable alternatives and expensive, growing medical bills.  It is hard enough coping and dealing with cancer, without the added struggle of financial stress.

My dad is a stranger to few, an enemy to none, and a friend to everyone. He has a big heart and an even bigger smile, even now going through all of this. He can always make me laugh and he would do anything for those he loves.  My dad has saved me from every trouble that has come my way and I would do anything to save him from this.
