Friends and family of the Ryders have been asking how they can support them as they navigate Ramsey's medical care, so we have set up this page to express our love and support in a very practical and tangible way.
On October 13, 2018, Ramsey Jane Ryder was born, 15 weeks early. She weighed only 1 pound 14 ounces and had to instantly fight for her life. Our sweet girl was delivered early because Brittney's health had rapidly declined. She had extreme edema brought on by what the doctors think was a combination of pre-eclampsia and/or a pregnancy-related lupus flare-up. Brittney had been hospitalized for about a month before Ramsey was born so that the doctors could keep a close eye on her. The swelling eventually made its way up to her lungs, which endangered her life and forced the doctors to deliver prematurely.
From day one, it has been clear that Ramsey is a little fighter and is growing and getting better every day as she finishes developing outside of the womb. She will likely remain in the NICU through the holiday season and into January, so please continue to keep Nick, Brittney, and Baker in your thoughts and prayers as they still have an arduous road ahead of them.
Thank you for coming alongside them, praying for them and financially blessing their family. They are humbled, grateful and thankful that their family is dearly loved by each of you.
