Ramon "Bubie" Cruz

On Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at 530 a.m., Ramon a/k/a Bubie left his home to go to work as he did many mornings.  Shortly thereafter, and while driving on Route 80 westbound, a driver and three passengers rear-ended Ramon's vehicle at a high rate of speed sending Ramon's car careening off of the highway and into a tree.  An angel called the accident in to the police because the driver of the other vehicle and his passengers fled the scene, leaving Ramon in a critical state.  It took about thirty minutes to remove Ramon out of the car and to the hospital where he was rushed into the operating room.  The team of doctors that have helped Ramon are a God send.  He has already undergone five surgeries in four days and still faces more surgeries in the near future.  He is currently in a very sensitive state and we pray daily until we can once again hear his voice, laughter and questions upon questions that are normal of his character.   Once the doctors deem him stable, he will need extensive months of healing, rehabilitation and therapy before he can resume his normal day-to-day activities.  As a family, we have come together, by his side during this very difficult time. We are in awe of the outpouring of support and many shared stories of the humble, fun-loving, giving, comical, supportive and attentive man Ramon is with his loved ones, friends, employers and customers. So many faces, visiting the hospital, supporting him and us, as his family, during this awful time has soothed our souls, giving us the strength to see this through.  We thank you for your support and may God bless you all.
