Rami's Heart Covid-19 Memorial

Donation protected
On January 25th, 2021, a memorial began on 3rd Avenue Belmar Beach, New Jersey marking what would have been my brother, Rami Samman's 41st Birthday.

It was made of large clam shells painted yellow in the shape of a heart with approximately 150 stones inside displaying names of New Jersey residents who have passed away due to Covid-19.  Since then there has been an abundance of requests from people all over the world asking for their loved ones names to be included.  What began as one heart, in 45 days has become 10 hearts currently containing over 2000 names.

As a non profit, our mission is to find a permanent home for this memorial as well as create a museum that will remember the 532,000 lives lost to date. In addition recognize those who lost their lives all while serving as essential workers during this pandemic.

We would like to preserve the current memorial as well as create a space where families can visit and see their loved ones name displayed in honor. Also, document the impact it has had on our nation in addition to supplying avenues of counseling for those impacted so that we may all heal from this pandemic. This will be a place of peace, honor and love for those lost.

This fund is to begin the process of negotiations and finding the right home so that those who lost a loved one will not have their heart broken again.
