Ramiro Montes Memorial Fund

You may have heard by now Ramiro Montes has passed away. March 19, 2020 surrounded by loved ones , his sister and brother-in-law , two nieces and very good friend. It was devastating as we said goodbye for the very last time. But we knew he was suffering and couldn't ask him to stay. He fought this difficult battle for months and insisted he was gonna win. We all hoped and prayed but instead God had a different plan , it was his time. His stage four pancreatic cancer got the best of him. He accepted it in the last two days of his life and he knew he was gonna be with his mom once again , whom he loved dearly. Cancer has played a major part in his life taking people closest to him starting with his parents and only two years ago, his oldest sister. My uncle had not been able to work for the past four months due to the spread of the cancer. He was a really hard worker and couldn't accept the fact that he couldn't work during this time. He was in a state where he needed around the clock care and couldn't afford an at home nurse , so a very good friend of his took it upon himself to take care of him with nothing in return. Our family couldn't be more grateful to this man. If you knew my uncle he wasn't a very easy person to handle at times , but with Gods grace this man stayed with my uncle until the very end always assuring him he was there. Ramiro was a good man , maybe a little misunderstood at times but our family loved him very much and would like to give him his last request to be buried by his mom at Oakdale Mortuary.
