Ramiro Esquivias Memorial Fund

On January 27, the world unexpectedly lost Ramiro Esquivias, a man devoted to his family and work. He was a man true to his values - honest and trustworthy, strong, caring and a teacher to many.

Ramiro grew up on a ranch in the heart of Mexico before he made his way north to California at the age of 18 in pursuit of a better life. Over time he gained citizenship, taught himself English, met his wife, raised kids and worked six days a week without complaint. Giving up was never an option, when he broke a hammer he grabbed one of the 3 others he had in his truck. Impossible was not a word in his vocabulary, as he often said, “there are no problems, only solutions.”

Ramiro excelled at three things: working, laughing, and then working some more. He mumbled, he joked, he struggled but he never took anything for granted. He worked 29 years with his co-worker and friend Rick, that’s 6,400 days of hello’s and the occasional grumbled “see you tomorrow.”

He leaves behind a beautiful wife, Luz, and daughters Alejandra (24), Casandra (19) and Isabel (12) with dreams and aspirations for college and more, all possible because of his hard work.

He proudly provided for his family for 25+ years and now we ask that you help continue his dream. Any and all donations to help Luz and his daughters through this time are welcome and appreciated.
