Ramirez - Harvey Flood Relief

As most may know, hurricane Harvey is responsible for dumping a record amount of rain on a good portion of southern Texas. While a few of us were fortunate enough to avoid the mandatory evacuations and house flooding here in Katy, Texas, my grandparents were not. Jose "Luis" and Dolores Ramirez were among the many families who lost everything to the flooding in Bellaire, Texas. My grandparents have lived in their home for 45+ years without a single threat of flooding, and were not prepared for the catastrophic flash floods caused by Harvey. Less than a week after celebrating their 85th and 86th birthdays, they were forced to leave behind the home they have raised their children in (my mother included), without enough time to collect and/or preserve any necessities. As of now, they do not have the necessary resources to rebuild their home.

All donations will go to covering the costs of housing; food, clothing, and toiletry essentials; medical costs (medication and doctor visits to treat and maintain care for thyroid, cholesterol, glaucoma, and prostate disorders); and transportation, as they have lost their only  vehicle.
