Ramadan Window trail 2022 is a creative and fun way for children to get involved in Ramadan and celebrate this special month.

Asalamalaikum, Peace and Blessings to everyone – my name is Saira Begum Mir BEM, BCAc, founder of PL84U AL-SUFFA.

We are a community hub, foodbank and friend to those in need.

 

Advent Christmas Window Trails are organised every December for children to celebrate the days leading up to Christmas – People decorate their windows with pictures of the snowmen, snowflakes, Christmas trees, fairy lights, etc. Parents share details of their window decorations locally, and kids plan a viewing route to see different windows and decorations, and kids get to enjoy the festive spirit of Christmas.

I am a firm believer in ‘not wanting to reinvent the wheel’. I feel if the model works it can be adapted and reused.

These Ramadan Window Trail will help children see their family beliefs/holidays celebrated around them.

This activity is inclusive for children of all faiths and beliefs to get involved with.

 

Ramadan is the month in which Our Beloved Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) received the initial revelations of the Quran. Fasting is one of the five fundamental principles of Islam. As Muslims believe that Allah (God) forgives the past sins of those who observe the holy month with fasting, prayer and faithful intentions. The month of Ramadan is about self-discipline, kinship, empathy and celebration.

 

Ramadan Window trail 2022 is a creative and fun way for children to get involved in Ramadan and celebrate the month. We want children to look forward to Ramadan and be excited about the coming of Eid! We want them to have fun decorating their windows with geometric patterns, lanterns, mosques, moon and stars. Shine a light in your window at night to illuminate your designs so everyone can see them.

 

We have designed a Ramadan Creativity Pack, and your donations can help us create these packs so that we can hand them out to all the families at the food bank and community centres.
