Metschke Flood Recovery
Donation protected
During the recent floods that hit eastern Nebraska in March of 2019, Ralph and Linda Metschke of Fremont (my parents) had to quickly evacuate their home. As a result of the massive flooding, their entire basement and main floors were damaged, including the majority of their furniture.
The money raised from this campaign will help alleviate the costs of staying in a hotel/temporary housing while the home is being restored (currently unlivable - estimate of several months to repair), as well as to replace the furniture (bedroom set, couches, office furniture, kitchen appliances, etc.) and some of the personal belongings (clothes, shoes, etc.) that were destroyed.
