Rallying for Rafael ❤️

Update: At 11:03 pm on November 18th, 2017, Rafael passed away. Although he has left us much too soon, we are thankful for the time that we were given with him. We will always keep close our fond memories of his kindness, charm, vibrancy, good humor, positive attitude, and his compassion for others. Even in death, Rafael's generosity continues through the donation of his organs and we pray that our loss will give many others new life. He will forever be missed by all that knew him.

On May 13th, 2017, my sister, Kimberly, married the love of her life, Rafael. Over these last six months, the two of them began their "happily ever after." However, their happiness came to a staggering halt on the evening of November 17, 2017, just one week before Rafael's 33rd birthday.
On that evening, my sister came home to find her new husband on the floor and unresponsive to her persistent efforts to awaken him.
Now, less than 24 hours later from that moment, Rafael is in the hospital and we are in desperate need of your prayers and a miracle. The doctors have performed brain surgery to remove an unsuspected blood clot and his prognosis is poor.
Before all else, we are requesting a rally in prayer. Next in order, we are asking for donations. Unfortunately, Rafael was not yet covered under any health insurance plan. He was unable to acquire it through his employment and was scheduled to join Kimberly's plan in January.
At the most painful time in my sister's life, when all I can feel is helpless, I am turning to those with good hearts to help aide her during this devastating time.
We are very appreciative of any kind thoughts and good wishes and we thank you for any donation that you can afford to spare.
