Rally for Robert

Friends,
Misfortune has hit us again. Robert has been in a Denver hospital for over 3 months. During a cancer follow up surgery, what was supposed to be a "routine" surgery, his bowel was punctured resulting in cavity sepsis, a ruptured belly surface and multiple infections. It's a miracle he's alive. He has been unable to eat real food food for 3 months and is being fed by a PICC line. As a result, he has lost 30 pounds and is frail. I have been driving back and forth to Denver trying to support him and maintain my business in Steamboat. As of this moment we do not know where this will take Robert. He will likely have another surgery November or the beginning of next year, depending on healing changes over the next two weeks.
He will face a long winter of recovery.

However, the insurance company has cut us off. As of October 12 they are denying any further payment. This puts us in a precarious financial position. We are emotionally exhausted and are reaching out to you, our dear friends, for help.
