Rally for Mad Max!

Donation protected
On Monday night, June 4th, my brother, Max was in a motorcycle accident. His leg was severed at the scene of the crash, which, after being airlifted to the hospital, resulted in an amputation to his left leg above the knee.  Although this devasted Max and our family, we all remained positive and strong.

Since the accident, Max has come a long way in these two weeks. He's now out of the hospital and was admitted to The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis for inpatient occupational and physical therapy. His release date from inpatient care is set to be next Tuesday, June 26th. From there, he will continue with outpatient physical therapy and will eventually be fitted for a prosthesis (he can't wait!!).

Max is strong, confident, and insanely motivated. I have no doubt he will come out of this with more strength than when he started. His attitude and sense of humor have been so positive and I'm so proud of all that he has accomplished so far. My main concerns are the finances. Even with insurance, the medical bills, physical/occupational therapy, prostheses/accessories, and home modifications are not cheap! My family would be SO grateful for any donations, no matter how small. Anything will help.

Above all, please keep Max in your thoughts and prayers. He's going to need it to start living up to his nickname, Mad Max, again!
