Let’s Pay Off Becky’s Bus!!

Dennis’ brother, Captain Chris Coventon, passed away unexpectedly on November 16th. He was an outstanding Husband, Captain, Son, Brother and Uncle. Chris led an exciting, if somewhat unconventional life. We always encouraged him to write a book about his interesting escapades. A vet, he was a former member of the United States 101st Airborne Color Guard. He also worked as an “Englishman” on an Amish construction crew. He recently quickly worked his way up the ranks and became captain of a shipping boat. However, his greatest and most cherished accomplishment was being “Dada” to his 7 beautiful children.

His loving spirit can be seen in his children. These outstanding kids run a working farm. The older boys get up at 4 Am to do the farm chores and then get straight to their homeschooling lessons. They have excelled in Academics, even passing 2 grades in a year. The youngest, Abbey, has had a trying first year. She is physically unable to eat anything except a prescription formula. She has been visiting specialists on a regular basis to obtain a desperately needed diagnosis.

His wife, Becky, is the strongest woman I know. She is the standard all moms should strive for. She homeschools, runs the farm, keeps up with extracurricular activities, and somehow gets all 7 kids up and ready for church every Sunday.

Chris’ most admirable characteristic was his willingness to help anyone. He would give the shirt off his back (most likely literally). It is now our turn to help this sweet family out. As you can imagine, there are financial concerns with the untimely death of a young father. If these concerns could be taken care of, Becky can focus on the emotional healing of her family. Chris and Becky are both Christians with unwavering faith. It is now our job to be God’s earthly hands and deliver in their time of need.

Becky is confronted with many financial concerns including a van payment, house payment, a tornado damaged roof that the insurance is not fully covering, medical expenses for the youngest and food for 7 kids and a farm full of animals.

We have an initial goal of paying off the van (bus) so Becky and the kids can have reliable transportation that seats them all.  They have a limited vehicle selection for their family size.

Please donate if you are so inclined. Or feel free to share. I promise this is an amazingly sweet family that is always ready to serve others.
