Battle with the Brauns as Rea Kicks Cancer's Butt!

Donation protected
On behalf of the army of people who love this family, and with Jeremiah and Alyssa’s permission, we invite you to share in their story.

Monday, May 17, Reagan went to the ER at Kaiser for some chest pain and trouble breathing. Within 24 hours, she was transferred to Valley Children’s Hospital because of a mass in her chest. She has since been diagnosed with T Cell ALL Leukemia and is at the beginning of a long journey that will require lots of encouragement, support, and most of all, prayer. Reagan is 17 and instead of looking forward to an early high school graduation, is head to head with a long hospital stay of intense treatment. This is a battle that we refuse to allow her and her family to fight alone.

This news would be devastating and traumatic to any parent, but parents who have already lost a child feel deeply and on a level that many of us cannot begin to understand. Jeremiah and Alyssa are an amazing team and in reality, their family unit consists of two very hard working parents and 4 children. Parents whose hearts, as you can imagine, obviously long to be at the hospital with their daughter night and day. They have so much to learn about this disease and many decisions lie ahead. They will need to be present for Reagan in a holistic way because this battle will be an all out emotional, physical and spiritual war. Unfortunately, they will have to shoulder much of that weight alone. Due to Covid and strict visitor regulations, others will be unable to step in and offer in-person breaks or comfort.

Our hope is that the we can create a barrier around Jeremiah and Alyssa from the burdens and responsibilities of financially supporting their family during this time and in turn, give them the opportunity to be laser focused on Reagan and their other children. The next 6 months are crucial in Reagan’s battle against Leukemia.

Friend, would you pray alongside us? We serve a mighty God.

Ephesians 6:18 “praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints”

Andrew Murray said, “May he give us a large and strong heart to believe what mighty influence our prayers can exert.” May we believe this boldly.

And If you are able, would you consider giving?

With love,

The Army

“We have just been flooded with love. I can’t describe it any other way. It has been a rising tide that has lifted us and carried us through these few days. Please know we cherish every message, comment, text, gift, meal and prayer we get.

We have been overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love and support you have shown. Please stay with us. We need you.”
