Rally for Timmy D

Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Patrick Doyle. I am starting a GoFundMe for my father Tim Doyle. Before I start, I would like to do a little bio of my Pops Timmy D. My father is a veteran that served in the United States Navy as a Maintenance Chief for almost 25 years. He is still a Government Employee who protects this country and does the same job that he did while he served on Active Duty.  My mother, father, and I have resided in Lemoore, California for the majority of his career. Most of his friends, my friends, colleagues, and family know my Dad is the most genuine, caring, humble, and enthusiastic people they've ever met. He always looks to help someone else out before looking out for himself. My dad has taught me a great amount of lessons in life and is the reason why I joined the United States Air Force. One thing I know he will never do, is give up or quit on anything.

In early July of 2017, he had a breathing attack and was rushed to the hospital, where they discovered a tumor on the inside of his throat. Of course a bi-opsy was conducted and the results came out at as Squamous Cell Carcinoma They immediately installed a trach so he can breath. For the past couple of months my father has gone through Chemotherapy and Radiation to help reduce the size of his tumor. It has been a rough path for my Dad these past six months. He has lost his ability to speak, and his primary source of food comes through his feeding tube. After completion of his first round of treatment, there is still a tumor one inch in diameter. The next step in helping get rid of this tumor and cancer is for him to transfer from Hanford, California, to the University of California, San Francisco where they will perform a Laryngectomy and determine if he will need more Chemotherapy and Radiation.

My family, one of Dads closest friends, and myself wanted to start this GoFundMe so he does not have to burden himself on the financial portion of this tough chapter in his life he is going through. His Medical Leave has ran out and my mother can not be working due to being his primary caregiver and being the strongest person I know being by his side. Since i am currently stationed overseas in Europe, it is hard to help out a great amount, but I do the most I can do from this part of the world.

The funds that come from this will be used for mulitple things such as: household goods, bills, transportation and hotel expenses for there trips to San Francisco, and most importantly his medical supplies. Due to him having a trach he needs multiple medical supplies such as: gauze, tracheotomy inner canulas (replaced a of minimum once a day), catheters for trach suction, and cleaning supplies for his trach.

At this time there is no ETA on being sent to UCSF and I will attempt to make updates as much as I can. For anyone that does donate I would like to say for myself, my parents, family, and his friends thank you and God bless. God will always be on his side and we pray everyday for a full recovery.
