Best news!!! GRADE 2!!! I never thought I'd be excited for news about how far along Brett is with this cancer journey. It's funny what we consider good news these days but grade 2 was best case scenario and we feel so very blessed basically what this means, is he most likely will be able to go 10 or so years without having to go through this process again

We will meet with oncology soon to talk about radiation therapy. Radiation is a one shot deal. Our bodies can only handle X amount of radiation, so we, along with guidance of oncology will decide if he do it now, or wait until the tumor comes back. Either way, the tumor will grow. Brett feels he may do it now, but wants to research more and wait for oncology's opinion. Radiation is a beast, but necessary for sure.

He continues to impress physical therapy with how well he is doing. His fine motor skills are actually really good, it's his gross motor skills that are greatly affected.

So today is good day. Thank you all for praying hard for us. We are beyond grateful. This journey would be impossible without the love and comfort that we have felt. It has definitely increased our faith and we know that God is so mindful of us. We are feeling really really blessed❤️❤️ #rallyfortherichins #fightingfor40 excuse us while we do the jig

We are so devastated to hear the news, that our friend Brett Richins, has a terminal brain tumor. Brett is one of the kindest, most loving people we know. Anyone who goes to see Brett in his office, leaves as a friend. He is known to call to his patients, after hours, just to check in on them. This is just the kind of person he is. We know he will have a hard time receiving these acts of love and kindness. That's because he's so used to helping others. But we want to show his whole family how much they are loved, near and far.

His sweet wife Carlee, is one of our dearest friends. Everyone I talk to says she is their best friend. That's because she is such an amazing person, and a friend to all. Please help us ease this burden on their family. Any amount will help. Let's all Rally for the Richins!

We love you Car and Brett!

My heart is heavy tonight. We met with a neurosurgeon today at the Huntsman Cancer Center and scheduled surgery to remove a tumor from Brett's brain. As devastated and scared as we are, we have also felt much strength, peace and comfort. Although we've been told that this tumor is terminal, we are optimistic that he will be with us for many many years❤️ We appreciate all of the texts, calls, meals and most importantly prayers. I strongly beiveve that there is strength in numbers and would appreciate as many prayers as possible. One thing that brett has is strength, faith and determination. If anyone can beat this, it's him❤️❤️
