Rally for Russ! / HEART TRANSPLANT

**UPDATE** 01/16/2019

IT'S TIME TO REFRESH OUR SUPPORT OF THE GUTTU FAMILY! Some have been asking how to support them as they make daily trips from their home in League City to the Medical Center in Houston. The best way is financial donations so Lydia has the flexibility to buy groceries, order food, buy gas, pay medical bills, etc... Their life is fast-paced with Lydia working, the kids in school, and visits with Russ; so let's offer some relief!

Russ' heart was transplanted on 12/17/2018 and has been in the hospital since. As of 01/16/2019, they anticipate at least two more weeks in the hospital to help Russ become stronger and then once he's home, an extensive and regimented Occupational Therapy process awaits.

Friends of Russ and Lydia Guttu!

As many of you are aware, Russ is in need of a new heart through a transplant procedure. Currently, he is admitted to St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston and will be having a Left Ventricular Assist Device installed soon by means of an open heart procedure. This device, by all practical measure, will use an external motor to pump blood through his body. Once this is in place, it will move him high on the transplant list, but will have to wait six months before this can take place.

This equates to spending limited funds at a high rate of speed and a need to assist this family immediately with financial donations—together, we can make a difference! Things like back-and-forth trips to the hospital on a frequent basis (often multiple times a day), gasoline bills exponentially higher from these trips, hotel expenses so Lydia and the family can be close to Russ while he’s in the hospital, food while displaced from the comforts of home, and of course, high medical co-pays and bills make it nearly impossible to meet budget.

Obviously, Russ is not able to work right now and Lydia is the primary caregiver for Russ and full time Mom for their two kids.

Adding to this, Lydia’s Mom and Step-Dad’s house flooded during Hurricane Harvey. So they are juggling helping Lydia and the kids while trying to rebuild their lives.

This is why I appeal to your generosity as we join together to provide some immediate financial relief to this wonderful family.

Please consider giving how God leads you!
