Remembrance for Renee

On Sunday March 18th, Renee went through a massive ischemic stroke on the entire left side of her brain. She acquired brain swelling, clots, infections, internal bleeding, and was on a ventilator to help her breathe while in the ICU. Her condition continued to deteriorate, and on Tuesday she slipped into a coma. The medical team explained that if she survived the brain swelling period, she would have no cognitive ability, no speech, a likelihood of not breathing on her own, and movement only in her left hand.
It was decided to transition her into comfort care. On the afternoon of Wednesday March 21st, the ventilator was removed and she immediately passed away peacefully, joining her beloved father.
Because this process was greatly unexpected, finances have been difficult to acquire in order to pay for medical expenses and subsequent funeral costs.
