Rally for Ranga

As a lot of people know, I work at a small, local pet store.
I'm in the business of helping animals & the people who love them, and the women I work with are some of the kindest I know and are truly family to me.

On Monday, June 19th, we collectively held our breath all day. Our coworker, Laura Elizabeth - most of you know her as Leg - texted us in our "Lofty Gals" group text the night before that her beautiful dog Ranga was in the hospital.
Ranga had fallen very ill, very quickly. Leg transported her to two vets because the first couldn't keep Ranga overnight, and she proceeded to watch & wait as vets contemplated whether Ranga would live to see the next day.
It was apparently gastrointestinal failure; her blood pressure was extremely low, and the procedures the vets were trying were not sticking.
Leg kept us updated all throughout the day as we all poured out every bit of love we could to send in her direction.

I had to put my phone on Do Not Disturb for about an hour & a half in the evening due to a test I was taking for a summer class.
When I looked at it after I finished, I saw the text from Leg to our Lofty Gals group that after a long, tumultuous, emotional day, Ranga's blood pressure came back up, and the vets confirmed that she was going to pull through, despite their earlier concerns that she may not.

It brought tears of joy to my eyes.
Our pets are our family just as much as anyone else.
We love them, and in return they fill our lives so much sheer happiness, loyalty, meaning, and love.
They teach us so much.
Throughout this whole ordeal, Ranga did not complain. She simply fought. She has a lot more beauty to bring to us.

All of this being said, we would do anything for our furry family members. Including the commitment to shell out money we may not have.

Although in the grand scheme of things, Ranga's health and quality of life are priceless, her medical bills are over $3,000.
Leg is my coworker, so I am aware that for all the good we try to do every day for people & their pets, we don't earn very much for doing so. We work at a small business; we are not at a corporate company, and her and I also happen to still be finishing college.
This is a steep, steep amount.

I know $3,000 is a lofty goal (no pun intended), but I want to put this into the world anyways, and ask for kindness & generosity, from one friend, animal lover, or honestly just one human, to as many others as possible.

Thank you in advance. ❤️
