Rally for Randi with HIP Fitness
Please join me along with HIP Fitness in Houston, Texas as we raise funding for our friend, HIP instructor Randi Allard. We are trying to help Randi and her two kids, Cade & Kyah, in their time of absolute loss due to the flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Randi, as many of you know, has been an amazing instructor at HIP Fitness in Houston, Texas for over three years. She is super sweet, but will crush you on the Megaformer (especially the obliques on the back). Many of you may know know that she is a single mom of two young kids that came to Houston from North Dakota to find a better life for her kiddos. She is without any family close by and we want to help her get back on her feet.
Randi and her kids back from their summer up north in the early hours of Satuday morning. Randi also just moved into a new apartment around the medical center less than a week ago that is very close to Braes Bayou. Less than 24 hours of the kids being in their new home, they woke up to over two feet rushing water in their apartment. They had to escape into a empty apartment upstairs as they waited all day to be rescued.
In this flood, Randi and her kids lost all belongings including furniture, beds, mattreses, clothing, toys, electronics. They have pets, a dog and guinea pigs, that are part of their family that need care for as well. Randi's car was submerged and is a total loss. Her renters insurance coverage covers $0 for belongings. Currently she is staying at a Residence Inn that costs over $150 a night.
Funds raised from go fund me will help cover the hotel costs of $150 a night for her family until they can figure out next steps on where they will live. It will also help Randi purchase furniture and bedding along with basic household living items and help with the costs of daily $25 for a rental vehicle as hers flooded. She also needs to get a new vehicle to replace her car which was brand new. Please consider making a donation to help Randi and her family stay in the hotel and to help them recover what they lost in Hurricane Harvey.
