Rally for Nathan: Medical and Funeral Aid
Donation protected
Nathan Thompson has been working with Zim for as long as most of us can remember as a Driller. Everyone who has been around Nathan knows of his jolly, uplifting attitude and he is always joking around and making work fun for everyone and has been a very committed, long term Zim employee.
Nathan recently has run into very hard times. About 2 years ago, his wife, Roga, was in a life-threatening car accident that caused significant long-term damage and permanent disabilities. As a result of that accident, she required 24-hour care, which her sister and niece provided a majority of that care in Nathans home. Nathan just recently completed retrofitting their home for her disabilities caused from the accident. This Christmas, Roga became ill and her condition quickly deteriorated and she passed away on Christmas Eve. After taking some time off to mourn and handle arrangements, Nathan returned to work on January 13th…..on the 14th he received another hard call and found out this Roga’s sister, who he is close with and has lived with Nathan for years, passed away unexpectedly. Nathan is now returning home to deal with this loss and make burial arrangements for her.
Nathan is dealing with more than what any person should have to deal with. Since Roga’s accident he has been strapped with major medical bills, cost for retrofitting their home, cost of her in home care, funeral cost, and now additional funeral cost for his sister-in-law. With all of this going on, Nathan remained his same cheerful and generous self. Now is our time to rally around Nathan. When Nathan was asked if we could do a go fund me, he instantly wanted to share his gratitude. He is not a person to ask anything from anyone, but I think in knowing him, we would want the opportunity to help him. Thank you for any donation you can make to help Nathan during this time.
