<div>Alongside my brothers Christian (38) and Stefan (32), we are rallying around our mother, <strong>Kareen Colas-Jerome</strong>, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer.

<div>This diagnosis came out of nowhere. It’s been overwhelming — emotionally, physically, and financially.
</div>

<div>We lost our father unexpectedly when we were kids, and from that moment on, our mother gave everything she had to raise the three of us on her own.
</div>
<div>She worked hard, made sacrifices, and pushed us to become the men we are today. She’s been our rock. Now she needs us — and we’re doing everything we can to make sure she gets through this.

<div><strong>The Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>The cancer has created a large mass that’s blocking her bile duct, causing dangerously high bilirubin levels, which must be lowered before she can begin treatment.
</div>
<div>To address this, doctors placed both a biliary drainage tube and a paracentesis catheter to remove fluid buildup from her abdomen and relieve pressure.
</div>
<div>These procedures are working, but recovery will take time, rest, and close monitoring.
</div>

<div><strong>I’ve taken 12 weeks of unpaid leave to care for her full-time.</strong>
</div>
<div>That means we urgently need help covering the essentials while making sure she’s fully supported on her healing journey.
