<div>Hi, my name is Samantha and I am Lexie and Jax's aunt. <strong>Jax just barely became my nephew when he married my niece 3 weeks ago!</strong> They have an adorable 2-year-old little girl who thinks the world of her daddy.

<div>Jax recently got sick, and it just got worse and worse. They first took him into the ER after he had a migraine and could not stop throwing up. He was unable to sleep and not making any sense when talking. They told him he had a sinus infection and a migraine. They gave him some medication and sent him home. The next day, his migraine was back, and they went in to get a shot for the pain.

<div>Afterwards, he was feeling much better, but his right eye started swelling. They thought it was because of the sinus pressure, but he was feeling okay. They went forward with a family trip they had planned a few hours away.

<div>Once they arrived, his pain and the swelling worsened. They rushed to the ER where they found he had an abscess behind his eye. They took him in for surgery to clean out the infection and started antibiotics. Unfortunately, this did not help as much as they were hoping.

<div><strong>He is now being transferred to a hospital closer to home where he will undergo brain surgery to handle the abscess.</strong>
</div>

<div>This is SO much to handle for any couple, but newlyweds who are fighting with insurance over hospital coverage makes it even more stressful.

<div>Jax had his surgery this morning. He did as well as they could have asked for! He was doing fairly well last time I talked to Lexie. He was talking and breathing on his own. We are hoping he will be released from the ICU by tomorrow. ❤️
