<div>February 26, 2025, my husband left our house to go enjoy a ride on a nice sunny day and was hit by a car pulling out of a business making a left-hand turn. My husband was ejected off his motorcycle 25 ft from where his bike hit the car. North Carolina State Patrol said there was nothing he could do to avoid this collision. He was life-flighted to the University of Tennessee, where he was admitted as a hotel, hotel because he was unconscious. He is currently in the ICU. He was admitted with 2 small brain bleeds, a crushed foot, a punctured lung, a right upper arm break which the bone came through and punctured his chest wall, a right leg compound fracture which came through the skin, and multiple lacerations. He went to surgery yesterday where they were unable to do anything for the crushed foot at the time due to swelling, so they put pins in to keep the foot stable. His upper arm had a metal rod placed in it, and bone fragments removed. His right leg was stabilized with a metal rod but not enough skin or muscle to close the wound right now. Right before surgery, his lung collapsed and they put a chest tube in. <strong>He has many more surgeries over the next couple of days, in one second our lives were changed forever!</strong> My husband is a warehouse selector, which is a physical job, which he enjoyed. The doctors told me yesterday it will be months before he can actually walk when we get to that point. Once he is stable, we want to get him transported to our hospital at home so we can begin our healing process. We are from Georgia and hours away from our normal life we once had. <strong>Anything you can do to help us would be greatly appreciated.</strong>
