Rally Behind Natalie & Bo

Natalie Hammers and Bo Coon have lost everything as a result of a fire in their apartment building.

Here is what happened in Natalie's own words:

"Bo and I were displaced (along with nearly 70 others) by a 3-alarm fire in our apartment building. Though we lost everything, save a few items we were able to grab, we do have our lives and our pet - we are so thankful.

The lows have been quite low, and are only getting worse. The building was left unsecured and apartments have been ransacked for leftover valuables. The idea of someone going through my things, knowing what destruction has occurred, is despicable. What was possibly salvageable, becomes less so every single day. Tennants only want the opportunity to retrieve necessities and what few sentimental items might be left. Though we understand the state of the building and the legal issues the management is trying to protect themselves from, they refuse to work with us to find a solution, though there are many. We should have gone into our apartment (completely accessible and safe, considering) the first night (apparently along with the rest of Seattle) a decision I know seriously regret.

The situation has become volatile between the apartment owners/management and the tenants of our building. Not only are we being treated poorly (ignoring calls and messages, being HUNG UP on) we are being threatened by a spiteful management company who is making us jump through ridiculous hoops and couldn't care less that we are people who have lost everything. The lack of compassion these people have shown us is sickening, and the whole ordeal has made me physically ill, I am drained to say the least."

Now Natalie and Bo are trying to move forward with their lives. This includes finding a new place to live and start replacing all of their belongings. This is not a cheap endevour, even after the insurance money.
