It is with heavy heart that I've decided to start this campaign on behalf of my mother, Robyn (Latin) Hoover.
Mom had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (NHL) just two years ago and we couldn't have been more grateful than when she was considered to be in remission after "only" a five month chemotherapy battle. We were even happier when her semi-annual scans continued to read negative for cancerous cells.
We had been blessed with clear scans, until this past May.
While we didn't want to accept it as true, the cancer has returned and an aggressive chemotherapy regimen will be taking hold of Mom again. She will also be subject to radiation and stem cell transplants.
Chemotherapy starts this week... and we could really use your help!
**What I'm asking for will help cover insurance deductibles, out of pocket maxes, and coinsurances for this year and into next, which alone amounts to 10k.**
During Mom's first battle with cancer she was fortunate enough to be working for a company that had excellent disability insurance and benefits. They laid her off very soon after returning to work from her first cancer battle and she had to quit her new job as she will not be able to work through the affects of chemotherapy.
If I could trade places with her, I would. I can not. You can not. But hopefully we can all put in a little something to help alleviate the stress of financial burden so Mom can spend any energy or strength on healing.
