Help Rakshaw and Her Battle for a Pain-Free Happy Life

My name is Summer J. Kiggins. On December 19th, 2021, I adopted a beautiful Rottweiler Pitbull mix I named Rakshaw. I knew from the moment that I adopted her, I would take the absolute best care of her. I wouldn't ever let anything happen to her within my control. Little did I know, this amazing girl had issues that were beyond my control.
Shortly after I adopted her, she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy- also known as a seizure disorder which is a brain condition that causes recurring seizures. It was an absolutely terrifying experience for me to witness my best friend shaking uncontrollably from her first episode. One seizure quickly turned into multiple episodes weekly, it led me to believe the worst and I was concerned for her future health- I can't even give a valid number of times I've visited the veterinary office to get answers for Rakshaw. Unfortunately, her medications are not calming the seizures. My next step for Rakshaw is to find out what is causing these seizures. I was informed that she will need an MRI and Spinal Tap in order to find any answers- Rakshaw was also diagnosed with a Tibial leg injury that will require an expensive surgery called TPLO(Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy). If left untreated, the injury can cause lameness, pain, swelling, and arthritis will begin to form in the joint.
Seeing my best friend affected by these burdened issues causes such pain for herself and me and is an everyday stressor as she is only 2 ½ years old.
This dog means the world to me. She has helped me in so many ways- we have such a special bond. So, that is why I made the decision to ask for help from anyone who sees this message, to help Rakshaw have a pain-free life and continue to enjoy her new life. So please help me help her, Thank you.
