Putting Hope Within Reach

Jason and I celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary this year. The past ten years have been quite the journey, ups and downs, good, bad, and ugly, sickness, and health, everything we vowed to stay together through! After our son was born I was prescribed pain medication and that's when opiates were introduced into our marriage. They brought with them sin, darkness, and addiction. If I would have only known that the very thing I was taking to ease pain would cause my family so much pain and destruction I wouldn't have taken the first one, but I did. It finally got to the point after years of trying to beat this thing on our own and failing time and time again, relapse after relapse, we became utterly hopeless. But God...He had a plan all along that we didn't even know about and it started with Teen Challenge. I graduated this program last May and Jason received his 1/2 way point induction certificate this past weekend. God has used the ministry of Teen Challenge to not only save and transform our individual lives but save and restore our marriage and our family as well. When I think about it all I'm brought to tears as I am overwhelmed with gratitude! I'm in awe of the miraculous power of God and the way He uses Teen Challenge as a vessel to display that power! Tuition costs for Teen Challenge are $2000.00 a month (the cost of room and board and operating costs) when Jason and I, and countless others, walked into the doors of Teen Challenge we did not have a cent to our name and through our addiction had burnt every bridge we ever had. Yet they still welcomed us in with loving arms and allowed God to use them to build us up into the man and women God intended us to be. The only way this is possible is through the donations that they receive. If people like you didn't donate to Teen Challenge my husband and I would be dead or at the least barely alive. I am so grateful for the people who found it in their hearts to donate to this organization so that I could have a chance at life, a life living for God and helping others. I want to do anything I can to help raise awareness and funds for this program so the next hopeless husband and wife who needs help but has nothing is able to get it! Fort Myers Teen challenge is having a bike-a-thon fundraiser for this very cause, the event is December 8th. I am asking if you would please help me to raise as much as we can to help put hope within reach of every addict!
