Raiza Bit to help him recover!

Sometimes, paybacks can be at least a little sweet...

As most of you know, on Saturday, April 7, 2018, our dear friend Brett, Raiza, was in a car accident at the intersection of 30th and University in North Park.  A driver ran a red light, and Raiza couldn't stop in time, and ended up t-boning her.

His car is totaled, and he suffered severe whiplash and trauma.  He is a driver for a living, so as you can imagine, he's not in a good way right now.

Raiza is the kind of friend that you need in any sort of crisis.  He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, and when my daughter was in her accident a couple of years ago, he stopped at nothing to make sure she and I were taken care of when I couldn't work for a month.  I said at the beginning that sometimes, payback can be at least a little sweet, because selfishly, I never knew how I could repay him for his friendship, and due to these unfortunate circumstances, I have found a way to step up for him.  We all can.

This will go directly into his account to begin helping him with basic necessities and costs of living while he recovers, until he can go back to work.  We all know how long insurance companies can take to take care of their customers.  I am sure there will be copays needed as well for doctor visits, etc.

Thank you for being in Raiza's life - he loves each and every one of us with such fervor, and we are all so lucky to have him in ours.  Even luckier that he survived the accident last weekend.

I don't know what I would do without him.

I'm not crying.  You're crying.
