Keyston YFC Raising money for Hwyel Dda
Donation protected
Keyston Young Farmers Club aimed to do a 'virtual' sponsored walk of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path on Easter Monday.
Members along with parents, leaders and friends had the aim to walk 186 miles from Amroth to St Dogmaels collectivley. We understand and will be following the government guidelines of social distancing and isolation by not going near the path and instead
the distance was completed around our homes, gardens and while on our permitted daily exercise to complete the challenge collectively. We individually recorded our steps and distances to reach the 186 mile target.
As the Yellow Army always does, we went above and beyond the 186 mile route and completed over 530 miles! Therefore completing the Coastal Path nearly 3 times over, all from our homes, gardens and loacl areas!
We are doing this to help do what YFC does best in helping the community and those who need it.
Our aim is to raise money to purchase items that Hwyel Dda requires in Withybush and South Pembs for the patients in their care such as toiletries, nightwear together with other items that patients can not access due to the COVID-19 visiting restrictions.
We also aim to purchase some electronic devices so that patients can see and speak to their families.
