Helping a Russian friend of mine seeking asylum

Hi, my name is Tim. This page is specifically created to help a Russian friend of mine. (Who I have known for over 15 years) Those of you sent directly here to this link know me and understand why I am doing this.

If you've come across this page on your own, you may think this is yet another person asking for money. There are thousands of people impacted by the recent mobilization effort announced by Putin recently. What makes my request different than those other thousands? Simply that I know one of these people personally, and I will do everything I can to try to help his journey. If you feel you can contribute to this cause, it would be much appreciated. No dollar amount is too small.

My friend has left Russia and is in the process of planning his next move. His partner has yet to join him. He is waiting for her to act. As of now, he isn't sure if he needs to start making a life for himself where he is OR plan to travel to further distance himself from Russia to make a better life.

Either way, he has to start a new life. He has left everything behind. There are so many other things for him to worry about now. Money is part of it, but it doesn't solve everything.
