VIPHQ UKRAINE APPEAL

We would just like to say a massive thank you for your donations so far and that we have now reached the £2k target for VIPHQ fund which we set up to support one of our very popular trainers Victoria Porter’s gorgeous nieces who were caught up in Ukraine. We are so happy to tell you that the little girls are now back safe in the UK with there father. BUT it doesn’t stop there, the girls have now asked to donate the money raised to buy practical aid for the refugees fleeing Ukraine into Poland. We will now be using this fund to purchase the things we know are essential for the refugees.
We will then be teaming up with Forrest Fresh Foods and adding these products to the wagon loads they are delivering to the Ukrainian refugees in Poland.
This is the girls story!! The father and two daughters were currently living with their mum in Ukraine when they were invaded, as you can imagine what the poor girls and family have been through! They were in the bomb shelter for 2 days.
They boarded the train at 11am Friday morning and arrived at Lviv at 5 am next day! You can imagine the conditions of the train & how scary this was for these poor children and families! This was a secret evacuation train and it was diverting round cities where the bombings were taking place, for safety reasons.
Some bridges were demolished so it couldn't take a normal route. Normally the journey from Kiev to Lviv is up to 8 hours, no toilets, or food or water so everyone was sharing with each other with what they brought with them! Once they got the Lviv they rested for a few hours and then left at 9am on Saturday and finally got to Poland 1.40 am the following day.
They then travelled into Germany where Jason (Victoria’s brother) met them after travelling to Poland looking for them but then got a call to say they had made it to Germany so he travelled back to meet them in total he travelled 29 hours straight!
As we are a family business and a community like no other we want to raise some money to treat these girls to an amazing little present! And the rest of the proceeds will go to UNICEF to support families affected in Ukraine!
After speaking to the girls dad and the way he described what he saw first hand we had to do more! Danny-Lee’s Business Partner, Mark Craven who is the Commercial Director at Forrest Foods is arranging to send all donations to Poland to the distribution outlets who are making sure it reaches the heart of the Ukrainian people.
We also aim to go ourselves and give out all of this stock to those who are in desperate need at the boarder.
