More information about Samaritans: Samaritans' vision is that fewer people die by suicide. Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland dies by suicide, and every six seconds, somebody contacts Samaritans for help.
The Samaritans is a fantastic charity, and every day, a team of volunteers respond to around 10,000 calls a day. They are there, day or night, for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure.
Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. You can contact the Samaritans day and night, no matter how big or small the issue feels, for free on 116123.
To help raise money, I am undertaking the challenge to walk 310,000 steps throughout March for this fabulous charity. The work they do undoubtedly saves lives.
