Raising money for the Mallacoota Community

Mallacoota Fires The Mallacoota community has been ravaged by the fires. A report was given to the ABC via the Mallacoota Community Radio Station where the presenters were locked into their building and were continuing to report on the  fires to keep the community informed. Radio VCA 885fm is a community radio station in the northern suburbs of Perth, also run by a community of volunteers, where we have just had our share of fires, but nothing like this!  From the volunteer firefighters  - the volunteers who make the sandwiches through to the volunteers on the radio staying in the fire area so that the people can be informed - Community is the only way that lives continue. Our community radio station 88.5fm wants to raise funds that we can send to the Mallacoota Community Radio and let them distribute the funds raised back into their Community of Mallacoota to assist those affected by these terrible fires.
