Raising money for Ruben S. Boucet

Hi everyone! If you’re the type to shop at Publix supermarkets any day of the week, you’ve probably walked by my friend, Ruben S. Boucet. Ruben is a hero in my eyes and isn’t the type to ask for help, so I am posting on this his behalf. Although I consider Ruben tough as nails, I know he needs our help now more than ever. To shed a little light on Ruben’s life: Ruben is 33 and has been living independently and working here in the Orlando area since 1996. Ruben was born with Cerebral Palsy which effects his ability to stand and speak, and at times can leave him unable to even cut his own fingernails. These complications come in stages that vary everyday and require Ruben extra in-home care on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, Ruben’s insurance does not cover his in-home care due to the fact that Ruben is employed. Ruben should not lose his in-home care simply because he wants to work and function like the rest of us. Due to the fact that he lives alone, when Ruben goes out for work or to get groceries he relies on either Uber or a tricycle. Unfortunately, his tricycle was recently vandalized while he was at work. His break wires were stolen and his seat completely torn up. With all these things and rent always looming around the corner, anything you could offer would be greatly appreciated and would help more than we could ever put into words here. Thats the just the kind of guy he is, he's always been here for us and it's time we let him take a step back for a moment and show him that same kind of support.
