Emma is 48 years old, she is a very positive and bubbly person, nothing is too much trouble and she is a friend to everyone. She has worked as a Neonatal nurse for 10 years and absolutely loves her job and her work colleagues, who all love working with her . Emma is such a caring person and would do anything for anyone she even shaved her head a few years ago to raise money for premature babies.
She has been married to her soul mate Stuart for the 22 years and they are an inspiration to other couples they are blessed with 2 wonderful sons who are Hayden (18) and Taylor (20).
Emma has always had a passion for animals and loves nothing more than to rescue those who have needed her most providing them with a loving home and treating them like members of her own family. She currently has 4 dogs, 4 cats and 2 horses. She simply loves the outdoors and her horse riding, cycling and dog walking.
Devastatingly Emma was diagnosed with a rare cancer on her birthday back in 2017. After undergoing the regular treatments for thyroid cancer it became apparent that it did not work and She now has advanced thyroid cancer with metastasis to her lungs. Despite having two major surgeries, attempting holistic treatments; Emma is not responding to treatment and therefore faces a terminal diagnosis. Despite the diagnosis Emma has continued to remain positive and strong for those around her and has continued to work and look after her animals with help from her doting husband.
Options for treatment in the UK are very limited due to the rarity of her cancer. Emma has discussed her options with Doctors in Mexico who feel they can offer her alternative therapy treatment which could prolong Emma’s life or even potentially put her in remission; but this is only available as a self funded treatment.
As Emma’s best friend I am asking that after caring of so many premature babies and rescuing many animals it time for us to rescue her! Please donate to this worthy cause even if a small amount, every penny counts and share far and wide with family and friends as I know that Emma’s family, friends and colleagues will be eternally grateful to keep her in their lives for much longer. We need to achieve a minimum of £30,000 to cover the initial treatment alone which we would like her to start in March/ April this year.
Emma’s family, friends and colleagues are doing fundraisers and as much as possible to hit this target and YOU can help too!!!!!! By donating
A massive Thank-you for taking time to read about Emma and her situation
