hi, my name is cath and i am the proudest owner of huxley aka mr huckles, my 9 month old british longhair. a few days ago on the 25th of january, i took him to the vets after noticing he wasn’t eating properly. they kept him in for further observations and at first, suspected a blockage but later on that evening, thought it was something more fatal; FIP.
Feline Infectious Peritonitis is a fatal coronavirus which needs to be treated as soon as possible.
having taken huxley on the weekend, i could not wait till monday to confirm diagnosis for treatment to begin. i asked for treatment to start that evening after driving him to a vet specialists.
estimated vet bills including the treatment is between the range of £4,000-£5,000 not including any additional scans and/or other emergency procedures they may need to do whilst he is in their care.
so far, huxley has had to be put on oxygen as his breathing has worsened with liquids now in his lungs too (already in his abdomen on saturday).
i am asking from the bottom of my heart for any donations as this will hugely help relieve some stress.
i love my boy with every fibre of me and will do everything and anything to get him home.
please help and pray for my little huckles.
update: my little huckles passed away last week. i am lost without him. total vet bills came to £3,442.55. thank you to everyone that donated, means the world to me.
