Running 150km for Black Protest Legal Support UK

Real change has been brewing around the world for Black people. It seems like we are finally opening our eyes to racial inequality. I have been deeply moved by the videos and images of police brutality and racism I have seen, especially over the past few weeks. I felt it right to try to raise some money and awareness for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Protests are one of the most effective ways to use your voice to help the Black community. The organisation I have chosen to fundraise for is Black Protest Legal Support UK. They are a group of lawyers, barristers and volunteers providing  free legal help to those who get arrested at protests. People, especially minorities, deserve to feel free to protest injustice and this organisation gives people free legal protection when they need it most. 

Over the next 30 days I will be running 150km to help raise money for this organisation. They are vital resource which helps protect those who are using their voice to speak out about the injustices Black people face everyday.
