Raising money for daily laborers in Bangladesh
With this initiative, the main goal is to raise money and ensure that it reaches the people who are mostly affected by the economic crisis arising from the coronavirus pandemic. With this document, you will get an idea about the whole procedure which summarizes the events from money collection to the proposed planning of money distribution. The updates are on the bottom of the description.
The list of members who will be involved in raising money in different region and the individual who will be responsible for distributing the money will be listed here and they can reached via e-mail. Exclusion of phone number is done is order to prevent any unnecessary interference in a person’s daily life.
The team is functioning as a unit, without any religious and political bias towards any specific community of the population of Bangladesh.
Planned procedure- Since the campaign is mainly target for a population whose livelihood depends on daily income, we have decided to focus entirely on providing them with essential items which are listed below:
1. Rice
2. Oil
3. Onions
4. Lentils (Daal)
5. A bar of soap.
A generalized quantity is not mentioned since it will be calculated based on the number of family members. The campaign is planned, with keeping an eye on the incubation and transmission period of the coronavirus. We are expecting that the virus will hit the population of Bangladesh somewhere in April or in May. That is why the donation will be collected till the mid-week of April. (15th April is the tentative the last day). After the budget is accumulated, then based on the data generated, the budget will be distributed to different locations.
Data generated will be done by the members whose details could be found in the document. (See Table 1). Following procedures will be carried out:
1. Regions accessible by the team members will be screened through and the most affected population (especially the ones who have a daily income are main target) will be listed.
2. Name of the family and number of family members will be listed. ( Data will be kept in case someone needs it)
3. Based on money collected, the number of days for which families will be provided will be decided upon and distribution of necessary goods will be conducted.

UPDATE: From all the funds generated till now, WE have covered 460 families till now.
