Raising Funds - Mom´s Cancer Treatment

Hi this is Maggie, as difficult as it is I am asking for your help. My mom Magda is 62 years old and retired and on a very small pension. Our world was turned upside down a little over a week ago, when what we thought whatwas a lesion caused by a dental bridge, turned out to be cancer; specifically tongue and throat cancer. My world stopped spinning. You see, my mom is my best friend, my roommate, my best champion and my world. Fortunately we were able to find a specialist quickly. . Mom had surgery to remove the tumor on her tongue on Tuesday September 10th. As you can imagine this will leave her without speech and unable to eat and will require a long rehabilitation if she is every to regain her voice and this will depend on if the vocal chords were spared during surgery. Next step is chemotherapy and then most likely radiation. I am the main breadwinner in the family and will have to figure out how to maintain our home, keep my job and pay for my mom's health care and the saddest thing is that I can't be with her in Mexico City as I have to care for our home and many pets. Thank God for technology because I can at least see her via video chat. I have set up the GoFundMe page as this is a transparent platform and need to raise funds as quickly as possible. It's not in my nature to ask for help but truly I need it.
