<div>A colleague and friend, Simeron Novak has been a long time fixture in the hospitality industry, notable at Rodney's Oyster House in Toronto, and The Whalesbone Oyster House in Ottawa.

<div>In recent years he has opened oysters with us at The Black Dog Bistro here in Manotick.
</div>

<div>Simeron and his family reside in Perth, Ontario.
</div>

</div>
<div>This beautiful family is made up of Simeron, his wife Jesse, and their 2 boys - Magnus (10) and Sasa(6).
</div>

</div>
<div>In April they learned that their 10 year old son, Magnus has been diagnosed with a childhood cancer called a Neuroblastoma.
</div>

</div>
<div>The path for Magnus will be a long one - with many therapies, appointments and procedures.
</div>

<div>Time off from work is a reality for both Simeron and Jesse, and of course time off from work results in no pay.
</div>
