Raising funds for Shana Simmons Dance!

Help support small arts organizations which are the backbone of the Pittsburgh Arts scene! SSD has continued innovative programming in 2021 hosting a dance for film series, filming an environmental dance project, working with new technologies and outside artists through their production the Virtual Dance Exchange Project, and performed live at the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's Open Air Series, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania walking tour created by Shana Simmons: Take the Air at IUP.

Shana Simmons Dance (SSD) was founded in 2009 by Artistic Director Shana Simmons to create unique and engaging contemporary dance. SSD projects aim to draw audiences into modern dance in new and creative ways and highlight current societal topics for project based work. These projects forward communities by creating thoughtful performances and inspiring lives through dance and artistic vision.
