Raising funds for my Meningioma treatment

Donation protected
Hi Everyone,

In 2015 I was first diagnosed with a Grade 2 Meningioma, Brain Tumour after years of suffering with headaches and visual disturbances. It was discovered through an eye test and was rushed into St George's Hospital for an 8 hour operation to remove it. Due to its location the surgeons could not remove all of the tumour and therefore I needed 6 rounds of Cyber Knife radiotherapy over a period of 3 weeks. Due to the the stubbornness of the tumour, it returned in 2017 and needed further surgery. When the doctors performed the second biopsy, we were told that the tumour had changed to a Grade 3 and therefore needed Chemotherapy to attempt to stop the growth. This involved 6 rounds of treatment! Unfortunately later scans showed the tumour was still growing albeit slowly but it now was applying pressure to my optic nerve and causing significant visual disturbances!
I have now been offered some new treatment that is not funded on the NHS (Avastin) which the doctors are very optimistic that this treatment is the best for this kind of tumour. Unfortunately the drug is going to cost around £13k which will provide 4 rounds of treatment. This treatment is hopefully going to stall the tumour to postpone further surgery which I am told will cause significant risk to my eye sight if it was to be performed.

Any help to raise these funds will be greatly appreciated.
